Gears for Father's Day

The month of June is right around the corner and it is time to start making Father's Day cards.  Here is my first one using FMS #738.  

The background paper is from a Honey Bee Stamps paper pad called Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Outdoors.

I used a die by Memory Box called Ring Stack and placed on the top of it gears by Paper Rose: Cogs, making them interlocking.

The sentiment is by a Honey Bee Stamps stamp set called Hooked On You.

Gear Up

I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge PP787 today.  I like this sketch and it came together quickly.

I was going to turn this into a Father's Day card, but this sentiment just jumped out at me.

The background paper is from Plant Lady by Echo Park.

I embossed a piece of blue cardstock with Replacements embossing folder by Couture Creations.

I added a few gears from a die set by Paper Rose called Cogs.

The sentiment is Gear Up from Honey Bee Stamps. 

Birthday Card for Mom

This card is a birthday card for my mother and not related to a sketch of any kind.  Her birthday is the 28th of this month and I wanted to do something different.  I do like the way it came out.  It got mailed a little late, but I think she will love it when she gets it. 💕

I stamped all around a piece of white cardstock using Sweet Ginkgo, a stamp set by Altenew.  I used two different types of green ink to stamp the leaves.  New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves, both by Memento.  Then I die cut Ginko leaves from a die set by Paper Rose rightly called Ginko Leaves using two different colors of green cardstock and attached them onto the white cardstock.  I backed that up with a piece of light green cardstock.

The greeting on the front is from two different Waffle Flower stamp sets.  The Happy Birthday to you is from Birthday Wishes and the word Mom is from Feather More.

                                                    

 

The inside greeting is again from two different stamp sets.  The word Mom is from an Altenew stamp set called Best Mom. The other two sentiments are from a Waffle Flower stamp set called Inside Sentiments Birthday 2.

I stamped a few Ginkgo leaves from the same Altenew stamp set onto the bottom and attached it to another piece of light green cardstock.

Loving Flamingos

Here is my take on FMS #737.

I used the background stamp by Picket Fence Studios again: Flamingo Boogie.  After I stamped it, I embossed it with Bubble Wrapping embossing folder by Sizzix.

The flamingos are from the stamp set Flirty Flamingos by PhotoPlay.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Dancing Flamingos

My daughter and her husband's wedding anniversary is coming up in June, so I'm working on some card ideas and this is one of them.  

I used the sketch by TSOT #695 for this one.

I created the background with the stamp set Flamingo Boogie by Picket Fence Studios.  I stamped in teal and grape jelly by Memento.

The two flamingos and the stereo are from the stamp set by Heffy Doodle called Flock Star.

Sentiment is from Stampendous called Greetings Galore.

Blending Together

Wow! Was it hot and muggy here on Tuesday!  And it's going to be that way again on today!

I'm not ready for all this humid weather!

Nonetheless, here is a card I made for The Paper Players.  This is for challenge PP786: Food.

I created this card from an older Waffle Flower stamp set called We Blend.  I stamped, colored and die cut the images.  

I had a hard time picking out the right background paper because of the different color fruit and vegetables.  I ended up going with a beige base color and then added the borders from an Altenew paper pack called A Love For Stripes Set D.

Birthday Bows

 I decided to post another card using the FMS #736 Sketch.  This time I went with bows.

The bows are from a die set by Picket Fence Studios called A Bow for Any Reason.

The circles are Deckled Frames 2 by Waffle Flower.

Sentiment is Sweet Lattice Sentiments also by Waffle Flower.

Trio of Umbrellas

 Happy Sunday!

This is my card for FMS #736.  This is a really cute sketch.  You can replace the circles with any shape.  I went with umbrellas.

These umbrellas are from a die set by Dress My Craft called Umbrellas.

I used Rainy Backdrop die by Lawn Fawn and Bubbles on the Border die by Technique Tuesday.

The sentiment is from a Picket Fence Studios stamp set called This Rain Will Pass.

Beautiful Tulips

This card is for The Paper Players Theme Challenge PP784.

The tulips are from a stamp set by Waffle Flower just called Tulips. I colored them with colored pencils and die cut them out.

I placed them onto yellow cardstock that I embossed with the Wicker Texture 3D embossing folder by Altenew, added a fence die cut by Impression Obsession and Thinking of you sentiment from Waffle Flower stamp set Sweet Lattice Sentiments.

Mother's Day Pansy

Showing another Mother's Day card. I used the card sketch FMS #734.  I didn't want to use a square card base, so I went with my regular A6 size.

The background paper is called Homemade by Carta Bella.

The two labels are from a Spellbinders die set called Labels Ten.

I used a stamp set by Technique Tuesday for the flower called Pansy Flower. I added a tiny bee.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps called Queen Bee.

Scribble Posies

It's amazing how fast time goes by.  Here we are almost at the end of April and it's time for another Double Trouble Challenge.  

I am again presenting a card as a Crazy Cousin Guest Designer.  

This is for Double Trouble Challenge #215.

For this card, I started off embossing a piece of greenish/yellow cardstock with Daisy Tiles 3D embossing folder by Altenew.  I used Fossilized Amber Distress Ink on the center of each daisy to make it pop.

I used Scribble Posies Background and Outline dies my Memory Box and adhered them on top of the embossed cardstock.

Spring Chicken

I decided to finally play along with Splitcoast Stampers.  I've been neglecting their sketches, so I'm playing catchup.  This is SC1110.

The paper I used is from a 6x6 paper pad by Carta Bella called Sunflower Summer.  It had the little chickens that I wanted to use.

The chickens are from a stamp set by Simon Hurley called Spring Chicken.  The sentiment is also.

Shell-ebrating

 Here's another take on Freshly Made Sketches FMS #732.

The background paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by Reminisce called Hello Sunshine.

The sand dollar, conch shell and moon shell are all dies from Cottage Cutz.

The sentiment is from a Pink & Main stamp set called Shell-ebrate.

Breakfast Time

Can you believe it's Friday already??  We are more than halfway through this month of April.

And it was so hot yesterday, up to 80 degrees and today it was close to it.

Anyway, this card is for FMS #732.

The paper I used is from Coffee Shop by Newton's Nook.

The coffee pot, coffee cup, spoon and toaster with bread are all part of a die set by Cottage Cutz called Coffee Pot & Toaster.

The sentiment is from a stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps called Life's Sweet Moments.

Ovals and Foliage

 Here's another Mother's Day card that I made using TGIF Challenge TGIFC #572.

For this card I used paper from Coffee Shop by Carta Bella.

The ovals are from Cottage Cutz: Nested Scallop Ovals.

The little leaves are from Alex Syberia: Classic Foliage Set.

Sentiment: For The Ladies by Waffle Flower.

The butterflies and the flight loop are from an old Jolee's Boutique dimensional sticker set called Colorful Butterflies.

Happy Spring

 Happy Spring! Happy Tuesday!

The beautiful yellow tulips on this card makes one want to take a sniff to smell the aroma of spring.

It all came together using a sketch by TSOT #693.

I think it might also qualify for Double Trouble Challenge #214 because of the butterflies and the 3-2-1 recipe.

Blocks and Foliage

Here is another Mother's Day Card that I made using FMS #731.  I used some foliage die cuts that I cut out before and used on another card.

I don't remember where the paper came from. I was looking through my stash of paper pads and I just couldn't find it.  But I like the way it all fit. 

The foliage is by Alex Syberia: Classic Foliage Set.

The sentiment is by Colorado Craft: For Mom.

Little Bees

Today I'm finishing up a card for Try A Sketch On Tuesday.  This is for TSOT #692.

Since it is Spring, I decided to go with bees (that are soon to come) and a beehive.
