Floral Sympathy

I'm cutting it close with this challenge, but I really wanted to take part in it.

With this challenge by Sunday Stamps Challenge 367, I went with a floral design.  It says to Put A Bow On It, so on my gray bow I added a die by Concord & 9th called "Blossom".  The sentiment is from a Waffle Flower stamp set called "Tender Thoughts".

Surfboard Trio

We all know that summer is coming to an end, yet I decided to make a summer card.  When I saw this sketch, I thought of these surfboards.  This would really work with FMS #701.

The surfboards are part of a stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh called "Summer Surfboards".  There are a total of six surfboards in the stamp set and I chose to use the first three.  There is also a coordinating die that will cut them out. I colored them with colored pencils and die cut each one out.  The background paper is from a Honey Bee Stamps pad set called "Vitamin Sea".  The sheet that I chose has a variant of colors making it look as if the surfboards are standing up in the sand with the ocean and sky behind them.  The sentiment is from the same Pretty Pink Posh stamp set.

The little flying birds are from a die set by Paper Rose called "Small Flying Birds".  I figured that adding the birds would help to make the card background to not look so empty.

A Good Book and Coffee

I've had this image for quite a while, and I came across it just recently.  I'm not sure if it's a digital image or from an actual stamp.

I'm thinking...can I use this image for the PP752 sketch?  So I found some great paper that was close to the colors in the image.  (This image was colored with Copic markers, by the way).  She looks so relaxed with her cup of coffee and sweet, little puppy that the sentiment I added fits perfectly.  It comes from Waffle Flower "Simple Book Sentiments".  I fussy cut the image out and attached it to a dotted oval by a die set of the same name by Sizzix.

Hello Fall

I decided to play along with SplitcoastStampers  Sketch #1076.  The papers that I used are from Farmstead Harvest paper pad by American Crafts.  I backed it with some green cardstock.

The colorful leaves are from a die cut set by Waffle Flower called "Fall Leaves".  The solid part of the leaves I cut out in black paper that had a bit of shine to it with the overlay of the leaves in various designer paper.  The sentiment is from a Waffle Flower stamp set called Hello Fall. 😄

The enamel dots are from Doodlebug Design: Sprinkles-Black & White Assortment.  I used all three.

So Many Books

On this FMS #700 I didn't go with a square card.  Just my regular A6.  I used an Altenew stamp set called Tall Tale.  My paper rectangles are from the Simple Stories collection My Story called Share Your Story.  I die cut out the stack of books and the reading glasses.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Nutty Day

The Paper Players challenge this week, PP751, was to create a card and include a critter of some kind.
After searching through my various stamps, I came across "Chipmunk & Squirrel" stamp set by Altenew.

I decided on the little chipmunk because he looked so cute holding his little acorn. I colored him with colored pencils, along with the tree stump and the two little grass/rocks images and die cut everything out.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with "Birch-Fades" embossing folder by Sizzix.  Then I went over it lightly with Sand Castle ink by Catherine Pooler.  I backed that up with some light green cardstock before attaching to my white card base.
The sentiment comes from the same Altenew stamp set.

Flowery Thank You

It's Sunday evening and I am finishing up a card for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #699.

For this card I used a die set by Penny Black called "Flower Circle".  It comes with the sentiment Thank You that is a die to cut out.  The background paper is from a very old paper pack from Momenta called Cardstock Mats.  I cut the Thank You die out of Mixed Metals Glitter Paper from Scrapbook.com and added a stem from "Aquatic Plants" by Creative Expressions.

Shell-ebrate

Today I put together a water theme card for The Paper Players Challenge PP749.  I have so many water, beach, pool type stamps and dies that it was hard to choose.  I ended up going with dies by Impression Obsession: Fish Net and Shell Border.  Unfortunately, Impression Obsession has gone out of business. 😞

The sentiment that I used is from a Pink & Main stamp set called "Shell-ebrate".

Relaxing Summer Day

Today I got a chance to play with Honey Bee Stamps "Lovely Layers: At The Beach" for the sketch FMS #698.  The sentiment is also by Honey Bee Stamps from the set "Flippin' Fabulous".  This card has all the things one would need for a relaxing summer day at the beach.

Coffee Please

Cutting it close to the cut-off deadline for Freshly Made Sketches #697.  I decided to use a digital stamp by Mo's Digital Pencil.  I've had this image for a while and have used it a couple of times on some cards that I made. For this card, I colored the image with colored pencils and fussy cut it out.

The sentiment I used is by Picket Fence Studios called "Coffee in Hand".  She does look like she's enjoying her coffee. 😊

Birthday Fishes

I made this birthday card for my son-in-law.  His birthday is August 4th.

He is into fish and aquariums, so I decided to make an aquarium with fish in it.  I used three of the Lovely Layers sets by Honey Bee Stamps: Fish, Tank and Tank Aquarium Add-On.  Let me tell you, putting the pieces together was time consuming, but I do like the way it turned out.  It was worth all the die cutting and gluing.  The sentiment I used is from the Waffle Flower set called "Under the Sea Sentiments".  I added a few clear Nuvo Drops to get a bubbles affect.

Flipping Awesome

I decided to play along with Paper Players Sketch PP748.  I thought this flip flop paper was so cute.  I used a stamp set from Pink & Main called "Flip Out".  I stamped one with Lemongrass ink by Catherine Pooler and the other with Memento Rich Cocoa.  There are actually two different stamps in this set.  One stamps the outline of the flip flop and the other in full color.

Tickled Pink

It was so fun to play along with Freshly Made Sketches #696.  I think this flamingo is so cute.  It is from the stamp set by Pink & Main called "Stand Tall".  It had a sentiment that said Stand Tall and I probably should have used that since this flamingo's legs are so long, but instead I used the sentiment from an Avery Elle stamp set called "Tickled Pink", thus the title.  I also stamped the pool of water from the same set and die cut it out so my flamingo could get its feet a little wet.  Wonky Stitched Rectangles by Whimsy Stamps is what I used for the background to place him on.

Beautiful Ride

Playing along with Paper Players Challenge 747 "Things With Wheels".  I have a few different bicycle dies and I chose Ladies Bike by Paper Rose.  I die cut it out with pink polka dot paper then I added another dotted embossed layer to the basket, seat and handlebars.  And on the spokes, I used some pink Nuvo glitter drops.  The sentiment I used is from a stamp set by Catherine Pooler called "Beautiful Ride".  The background paper is from Doodlebug Design called Enjoy the Ride from My Happy Place collection.

The bike looks like its floating, but it's really going up an "invisible hill". 😄

Sweet Treat

This was a great sketch by Freshly Made Sketches.  It was pretty easy to follow too.

I used the die and stencil set by Trinity Stamps called "Layered Ice Cream Cone".  I used the stencil on the die cut ice cream cone with Catherine Pooler inks.  It came with a sentiment to die cut out so I used that.

The background paper of ice cream cones is from Pebbles by American Crafts: Sun & Fun.

Blooming Hope

This was a great sketch by Freshly Made Sketches.
There are so many different shapes, images and dies you can use.

I used the stamp set by Brutus Monroe called "Lovely Lilies".  I colored the stamped images with colored pencils and then die cut them out.  The sentiment is from a stamp set by Waffle Flower called "Full Bloom Sentiments".
I also added a few Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Coffee Helps

Happy Saturday!  Can you believe that the month of June is almost over!  Only two more days left!  Hello July!!

Freshly Made Sketches 692 was fun to work with.  I used coffee cups as my focal point. Most everybody needs a cup of coffee in the morning.  I know that I do. 😆

The coffee cups are from the stamp set by Heffy Doodle called "Perfect Blend".  The paper I used is "But First, Coffee" by Reminisce.  Sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps called "Perfect Blend".

Thankful Hedgehog

This challenge, Sketch Challenge: PP743, was a bit hard for me.  I have gotten so used to creating layered cards and I had to stop myself from using a die cut or fussy cutting out the stamped image.

Anyway, I did it.  My stamped image is "Hedgehog with Sign" by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I put him on some rocks and grass so he wouldn't be floating around and then I used the stencil "Inner Glow" by Picket Fence Studios to give a little background and make him look even more THANKFUL. 😊

Fruity Drink

I decided to take a stab at one of the Paper Players Challenge.

This is PP742-Feeling Fresh & Fruity.

For this card, I used Trinity Stamps "Island Cocktail" stamp and die set.  I added a slice of pineapple, a strawberry and a few ice cubes to the refreshing drink.  The sentiment is a die cut from Altenew called "Fancy Celebrate".  This looks like a drink that I would take a sip of!

Flying High

I see a lot of possibilities with this Freshly Made Sketches #690.  I plan on using it often.

This particular card will eventually turn into a birthday card.  I just have to add the "Happy Birthday" sentiment and then Voila!

The hot air balloon is from the stamp set by Altenew called "Up & Away".

Gone Fishing

This is my take on Freshly Made Sketches #689.

I thought a fishing card would be appropriate since Father's Day is this coming Sunday.

I used the fishing pole stamp from Altenew's "Camp Life" set and the fish are from the die cut set by Impression Obsession "Fish Set".  I had to come up with a quick sentiment so I cut it out from the paper pad set "Gone Fishing" by Carta Bella.

Ahoy Anchor

Playing along with Splitcoast Stampers Sketch #1065.

Since it is about to be Father's Day, I thought I would create a masculine card using a sea theme.

The strips of paper are cut from two different paper pads.  "Voyage" by Authentique and "By The Sea" by Carta Bella.  The anchor & ahoy are from a die set by Carta Bella.

Hummingbird Beauty

This is my take on Freshly Made Sketches #687.

I used stamp set Wishing You by Altenew.  I stamped and colored the flower and hummingbird with colored pencils.  I ended up fussy cutting the different sentiments after I stamped them and glued them in place since they were all separate sayings.  The background paper is from Paper Rose called Maya's Garden.

Love Birds

I made this card for my daughter and her husband who will be celebrating their 24th anniversary in June.  (Almost at 25 years).  The stamp set is by Aall & Create called Love Birds.  The paper that I used is by Echo Park from Anything Goes collection called Floating Feathers.  I also used the sketch by Splitcoast Stampers #1063.

Make That Basket!

Playing along today with Try A Sketch On Tuesday Challenge #670 and DTC Challenge #191.  I really wanted to make this a Father's Day Card, but it turned into a Birthday Card.

The basketballs are made from the die set by Spellbinders called "Sporting Goods Set".  The paper is from Authentique called "Basketball".  The sentiment is from a stamp set by Stampendous called "Sports Frame".
