A Valentine's Day Card

I've just been in my craft room this evening working on Valentine's Day cards and I wanted to show you the one I made for my grandson in North Carolina.  I didn't want to make it too gushy, but I still wanted it to be sweet. Here are details with step-by-step instructions.

I started with a white 4 x 51/2 card base and inked the edges with Tea Dye distress ink.
I used a MS scallop trim heart punch to put a border on the bottom and the DP for the top layer is called Bittersweet by Basic Grey. The bottom is a brown and the border trim is a maroon. Actually all three colors are from the same paper pad.

The jar stamp is by Sarasota Stamps and I stamped it onto white cardstock with Memento black ink.

I stamped the inside of the jar with little hearts from Inkadinkado with Memento cataloupe ink. The hearts have "Be Mine" "Kiss" & "Hugs" sayings on them.
Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to align the sentiment and stamped my Happy Valentine's Day sentiment with Memento rubarb stalk ink.
The stamp is by Stampendous.

After stamping the sentiment, I carefully cut out the jar image.

I used my Cuttlebug to cut out a Wonky Rectangle Spellbinders die. I added the diecut to the DP and then the jar image.  I stamped a couple of little heart images, cut them out and placed them at the top of the jar to appear as if
candy were going inside.

Thanks for looking!
