Copic Colored Stamped Images

Remember I said it was a snow day today and I used the time to work in my craft room?  Well, this is what I worked on.
I stamped these images and colored them with copic markers.  These are going to be used for my grandchildren's Valentine's Day cards.

The first image is called "Rose cuddling the winter bunny" by Stampavie.

This one is called "Being together" also by Stampavie.

This one is a wood-mounted stamp called "Puppy" by Stamps by Judith
I think he's kind of cute!
This last one is a wood-mounted stamp that I picked up at Michaels.
It's a love-struck squirrel.

Let It Snow!

Today is a snow day. And I do mean snow day!  The roads were just a mess! Not very passable at all. Schools were closed. Some businesses were closed. (Including mine - yeah!) Having a whole day off in the middle of the week was a joy.  It gave me time to sleep a bit and to work in my craft room.
We got up to ten inches of snow.  Here are a few pics to prove it.

A Valentine's Day Card

I've just been in my craft room this evening working on Valentine's Day cards and I wanted to show you the one I made for my grandson in North Carolina.  I didn't want to make it too gushy, but I still wanted it to be sweet. Here are details with step-by-step instructions.

I started with a white 4 x 51/2 card base and inked the edges with Tea Dye distress ink.
I used a MS scallop trim heart punch to put a border on the bottom and the DP for the top layer is called Bittersweet by Basic Grey. The bottom is a brown and the border trim is a maroon. Actually all three colors are from the same paper pad.

The jar stamp is by Sarasota Stamps and I stamped it onto white cardstock with Memento black ink.

I stamped the inside of the jar with little hearts from Inkadinkado with Memento cataloupe ink. The hearts have "Be Mine" "Kiss" & "Hugs" sayings on them.
Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to align the sentiment and stamped my Happy Valentine's Day sentiment with Memento rubarb stalk ink.
The stamp is by Stampendous.

After stamping the sentiment, I carefully cut out the jar image.

I used my Cuttlebug to cut out a Wonky Rectangle Spellbinders die. I added the diecut to the DP and then the jar image.  I stamped a couple of little heart images, cut them out and placed them at the top of the jar to appear as if
candy were going inside.

Thanks for looking!

Hello! This is my first blog and I am excited!  This is also my first post on my first blog!  Ha! Ha!
I am still learning my way around things, but soon I plan to be posting quite often and to include the cards that I love creating.  But until then, I will just say -- keep watching!
Here is a sample of some of my cards - with more to come along with details.
